My wife and I just returned from a trip to New Orleans. In addition to enjoying superb meals at Bayona, Clancy's, and Uglesich's, special praise belongs to Jacques-Imo's. We went there on Wednesday night, only to discover that the restaurant was closed for a few days. The staff was having a meeting when we arrived, in anticipation of the reopening the next day. Both Jack and a member of his staff, Corlie, came out to greet us and brought us glasses of a very nice Zinfandel. Then, Jack insisted on paying for our cab ride, and Corlie recommended we try Clancy's instead that evening. We were very pleased with the recommendation.

We returned Thursday evening and received an extremely warm reception and one very terrific meal--blackened redfish, bronzed scallops, a great corn maque-choux, fried oysters, fried green tomatoes--you get the picture.

By all means, make your way to this very entertaining, accommodating, and tantalizing spot.
