Jackson Diner

I've avoided this restaurant on 74th Street in Jackson Heights based on negative reports. Yesterday, I went for the $6.95 buffet lunch and was amazed and delighted at the quality and freshness of the food. It was the best Indian meal I've had in a very long time. The place was crowded with about 50 diners. Everything was so good and fresh but one particular chicken dish was spectacular which was a spicy chicken dish with bone that was crispy on the outside with amazing flavors. As soon as we set down with our food the waiter brought a dish of fresh made Indian bread. I had planned on Delhi Palace but noticed only two diners and I couldn't see the buffet table from the sidewalk so decided against this place and I'm glad that I did. Last week went to Askhora on 37th Ave & 37th Street and was very disappointed with the food, small plates, hygiene and attitude. Jackson Diner was truly a memorable experience and I look forward to may more visits.
