Don't go to Uvalde just for this, but should your travels find you there, you can have a nice relaxing dinner at this locally-owned steakhouse. Our 10-oz. ribeyes ($14.95) were perfectly cooked, exactly as ordered. They have a large menu, not just steak; you can get pretty much whatever you want (chicken, shrimp, pasta, etc.). They have a wide variety of sides, including baked sweet potato, ranch mashed potatoes, and large chunks of fried okra in addition to the usual steakhouse sides.
Jack's was described to me as the best locally-owned restaurant in town. The same family also owns a more casual, diner-type place called the Town House.
