They were ready to open last March, but due to the Covid crisis they had to delay. After a major renovation to the former Edmondo's (Yefsi) space on Main St. in Eastchester, Jack's Bar & Restaurant, an Irish-American tavern, has opened for both outdoor and partial indoor dining.
We have visited several times for food and drink and have found it to be a friendly, convivial experience. This kitchen is on steroids, the best way to describe the fare. It is apparently chef-driven and you can't help but notice. Portions are very generous!
So far we have tasted their massive wood platter of Fish & Chips; an extraordinary tasty Mediterranean Dip Trio served with house pita; and their decadent Short Rib Mac N' Cheese.
We are already eyeing their woodfired Smoked Chicken & Sausage Pizza, Shepherd's Pie Calzone, and Thursday Tennessee BBQ menu for future visits.
Jack's it not your typical Irish tavern and should be a fine addition to the local restaurant scene. Covid guidelines are in place. www.jackseastchester.com
