I visit your city two or three times a year and often eat at Jack's, largely for the atmosphere as I usually find the food just a bit disappointing. Well,I don't know what's happened but Saturday night three of us were completely knocked out by our meals. We ordered the 4 course chef's special and were treated to mouthwatering, tender ribs, a pile of smokey pulled pork, crunchy and sweet sesame shrimp, succulent trout with tomatoes, olives and corn and five other really wonderful plates between us. I've had inferior versions of some of these dishes here before. The desserts were pretty good overall but a chocolate and cashew pie was a real treat. I'll be back.
P.S. I'll be in town Sunday night, Easter. Any ideas for late night eats on Easter Sunday??? I'll be eternally grateful.
