I was already planning on spending a few days in September visiting Boston, and since time allows, I'm going to add Philadelphia to the agenda. I'll be coming into town a little before dinner time on Tuesday, September 27, and leaving shortly after lunch on Saturday, October 1. Since the Boston folks here gave me a lot of useful feedback that section of my itinerary, I figured I'd try my luck with Philadelphia.
Below is planned eating schedule, with the particular meal slots designed to line up with the sites I plan to see before and/or after each meal. Any places I should be dropping/replacing? Anything I need to move to a different slot for non-obvious reason? Any other tips to be mindful of?
Tuesday, September 27:
Dinner: Morimoto (leaning towards a la carte over omakase if anybody cares to weigh in)
Wednesday, September 28:
Lunch: Nan Zhou Hand Drawn Noodle House
Dessert: T-Swirl Crepes
BYOB stop at Foodery or Food & Friend (which is better?)
BYOB stop at Brew or The Bottle Shop (which is better?)
Thursday, September 29:
Lunch: Reading Terminal Market (specific dish recommendations welcome)
Friday, September 30:
Lunch: Nine Ting
Saturday, October 1:
Additionally, craft beer drinking will account for a good part of how the evening is spent once most attractions are closed. I know Philly Tap Finder is the go to source for draught beer lists, but I'm wondering if other than Monk's Cafe there are any bars with an excellent bottle cellar that are worth patronizing? (If the selection is sufficiently impressive, price is not an object.)
