Italian In Sunnyside

Joe | Jul 22, 2003 12:14 PM

If you want great italian food get as far away from little Italy as possible. I believe it's all up to the sauce. If you want Ragu head to Mulberry St....

Although Sunnyside has a wide variety of restaurants the ITALIAN can't be overlooked.

My favorite is a little, well it looks like an ordinary pizza place, but the food is a couple levels up from that. Awesome salads and pasta dishes. This guys sauce rocks!!!!! Blows away anything ever attempted in Little Italy. You gotta try the Tiramisu, if he has it made. REQUEST IT!!!! BEG!!! The best I've ever eaten. They even got live jazz on Fri/Sat but this place doesn't need the frills to get me there. Ariels on 46th, just north of queens Blvd.

Other more expensive options in the area that are fantastic but more pricey.

Sapori D'ischia, just south of N Blvd - warehouse district with superb atmosphere and food.
Dazies - wear a tie and bring your mother in law
Marios - 43rd St & 47th Ave - great sauce
