Looking for Italian, not Italian-American, in South Philly

Ed | Jul 28, 2004 09:29 PM

Hi Hounds,

Going to Cirque at Broad and Washington on Sat evening with friends.

Looking for a good value restaurant in South Philly, maybe a BYO, but not necessarily. Of course, the food is most important. Would like real Italian (preferably Northern), not a South Philly Italian-American red sauce kind of place, for dinner at 7PM. Suggestions? Frankie's at night? Other places? Been to Royal Villa, Saloon (too expensive), Mama Yolanda's, Ralph's, Dante & Luigi's, Midori's, and Triangle.

Who's had a great experience? Suggestions appreciated.
