I have to bring the birthday cake for a party this coming friday and the birthday girl has requested a boozy cake with strawberries. Would trying to work this combination into an italian dome cake be a success? I've wanted to try that technique and was gunning for it before she specifically asked for strawberries. I was thinking I could do the whole pound cake brushed with liquor outside and then fill with a strawberry mousse. Would folding in fresh strawberries prevent a mousse from setting? Do any CHers have suggestions as to technique or fillings? Thanks!
