"Italian bread"

uwsgrazer | Apr 21, 2011 06:08 AM

We need to bring (an assortment of) Italian bread for a lunch this Sunday. As we will need to pick it up early, I'd like to find a shop on the West Side, ideally in the 60's, 70's or 80's.

I know Zabar's stocks breads from Sullivan Street Bakery, but do they pretty much carry the full array of offerings, or only a couple of items?

I still hope to visit Parisi Bakery in NoLita one of these days, but it won't be soon enough for this particular occasion. Are there any UWS shops that sell Parisi bread?

Is Salumeria Rosi or Grandaisy worth a visit?
