On Saturday lunch we went to Bluestone on Central street (1932 Central St) in Evanston. They just have salads, sandwiches and pizzas for lunch. We split a grilled veggie sandwich and an italian beef. This was not a classic preparation, but the meat was tender and the gravy tasty. They serve it on a toasted french roll (or a ciabatta?) with hot or sweet peppers (or both) the clear gravy in a container on the side, and covered with melted mozarella. I enjoyed it a lot and thought I'd pass it along.
Any other recommendations for places to eat on Central street in Evanston?
