Ita Cho?

I went to Ita Cho about a year ago and was really impressed with their quality sashimi and unique vegetable dishes (the pepper dish and the lotus root stand out in my memory) - any comments on Ita Cho's best dishes or even other Japanese places on that side of town over to Beverly Hills area that are worth a try? I only make it to LA once or twice a year, so want to be selective (and am not up to the expense of Matsuhisa). Thanks.
