Has anyone been to the HOLY LAND MARKET on St. Mark's between First & Avenue A? They have all Israeli food products and they're often opened late and it's very clean. The owner is a funky with-it Israeli guy who closes his shop on Shabbat out of respect for his primarily Jewish clientele (an admirable decision considering that he is not observant himself)!
He pointed out a new tiny place across the street from his store called HUMMOS PLACE that only serves 3 types of hummos and beverages. It's becoming very popular and packed with young hip Israeli's.Their awning says "Kosher" in Hebrew but they don't have a formal hashgacha so some may opt to try it or not.FYI.
