ISO romantic post theater options, does not need to be in theater district, atmosphere and ability to get a bite to eat important

Hi Chowhounds,

Coming on annual NYC anniversary overnight. Need a "romantic" place to go after the American in Paris show. We're happy to cab around the city, so it can be in any neighborhood from Harlem to the Village. I know romantic is open to interpretation, so for me I mainly mean a place with interesting atmosphere and must still be serving food at 11 p.m. Cushy seats, couches etc. a plus. We did have reservations at Onegin, but now it looks like they are closed for a private event that night. Other ideas?

Thanks in advance. Chowhounds are so generous with their advice!
