ISO old recipe for duck in red wine

Many years ago (15? 20? more?) my family loved a braised duck recipe that included red wine and turnips. We made it several times and then lost it. We don't remember much else about it, but think it may have come from the NYT Sunday magazine. I can't find anything similar in my cookbooks. Does anyone have this or a similar recipe? Thanks in advance!
