A year or so I made the most perfect cinnamon swirl cake but cannot find the recipe. I have spent the entire year trying to recreate that delectable cake without any luck. The cake was memorable, not overly sweet, incredibly moist with a fine crumb unlike a heavy sour cream cake. I put 1/2 in my freezer and when I defrosted it it was even better. I'm considering trying Rose Levy Beranbaum's white cake recipe and put a swirl of cinnamon, walnuts and brown sugar in the middle of the cake and on top.
