ISO Megachef "Blue" 30 degrees fish sauce in Vancouver

grayelf | Aug 30, 201705:40 PM     19

Okay CHers, now it's your chance to help out a fellow Hound in finding a particular fish sauce. Here's a pic of my current bottle, which only has three precious tablespoons left, erlack. Sadly, New Apple is not stocking as many Asian ingredients as they used to. I am looking for a lighter Vietnamese version, which is what this Megachef one is. I would love to find it exactly as I know it works well in nuoc cham etc. I have two very good Thai fish sauces but I find they are a bit stronger and saltier so not quite right for Vietnamese sauces/dishes. I've looked in several stores that stock such products including the Vietnamese grocer near Hastings and Nanaimo (they have Red Boat 40 for $16.99 but I'm not made of money!) and Sunrise Market. Haven't made it out to Supermarket 88 yet. Any other ideas??
