ISO: Info About Yellowtail Sparkling White Wine

Gio | Dec 9, 201106:57 AM

Recently a friend of mine asked if I had tried this white sparkling wine and I had to say no. From her description I'm not sure I'd like it ... "like Asti but more sour." From what I've read so far it originated in Australia, pairs well with just about anything, is medium sweet, has a crisp finish. Oh... and it's very inexpensive.

Wine Spectator says it's "reminiscent of a sweeter style of Prosecco. Pear and hazelnut flavors linger" and gives it a rating of 86... but I thought I'd ask the wine experts on this board for their opinions.

Any critique will be greatly appreciated. TIA...!
