Do I really have to pay $5.99/lb or more for good bones to use for making stock? Oxtails, beef shanks, veal bones (when you can get them) have gotten so expensive. I've looked in a couple of supermarkets and at the Country Butcher in Kennett. I'm wondering if I should try the butcher counters at the Booths Corner Farmers Market. Does anyone know of a source where soup bones aren't priced like steak? Thanks!
