ISO good milkshake in mid-city/west Adams area

Went with my SO to the Original Tommy's this weekend and was a bit disappointed that they do not offer milkshakes as most burger joints generally do. Scarfed a chili burger with a cherry pepsi chaser, SO had a 'dog and rootbeer, fries were tasty and well-prepared: medium-cut, hot and crisp; standing room only counters were unexpected but not unpleasant. The few other branches I've tried have been mediocre at best so I was wary at first but pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste (burger fixings were superbly fresh, chili which comes on burgers/dogs standard was also very good) that I'd recommend the original location to other burgerphiles. If you don't like chili, well, I would say you're better off at In'N'Out or Apple Pan as it's the chili that makes the difference here. But I'd really like to know where in the mid-city/west Adams area can we get good old-fashioned milkshakes - any recommendations? SO recently moved to the area, near Venice and Western. TIA!
