ISO a good hunk of meat in Santa Cruz area: Hindquarter, Ostrich Grill, Green Valley Grill?

Been taking advantage of long sunlit days and firing up the grill, but also doing some sleuthing for local restaurants that provide good quality, well prepared cuts of meat and fowl--steak, duck, roasted chicken, ribs. Sides don't have to be stellar but they can't be just garnish either. Want a chow-worthy, casual meat and potatoes kind of joint. Only meat heavy indulgence has been at Cole's BBQ in Aptos, which I've liked.

Just read a recent review on Green Valley Grill in Watsonville--see link. Dishes don't sound very innovative, but the wood fired oven and aged steaks are a draw. Opinions?

If I can find something better and closer to SC than even better. So any opinions on Hindquarter (SC) or Ostrich Grill (Capitola)? Haven't had ostrich in a long time. Other suggestions appreciated--thanks.
