I'll admit it...I love a good casserole and for the family its great to make double and freeze one.
So I want to make a pasta casserole with some shredded cooked chicken and spinach and maybe back some cheese on top....I want to make a sauce without using Cream of Something soup and I kind of want it to be light.
So if I did something with Chicken broth and maybe a little lemon or wine would i simmer it down on the stove first? Then add a little flour or cornstarch to thicken?
Any ideas or recipes would be greatly appreciated.
