My wife and I met at a Thursday grilled cheese night at Campanile, and it has long been our favorite restaurant. But we relocated to West LA recently - the drive over there (with our hectic schedules) has soon become too taxing for us.
We also feel (although it oculd be our getting sick of the place) that some of the bloom is maybe off the ol' Campanile rose nowadays.
But we still crave that casually elegant atmosphere, and the seasonal, farmers market Cal-Med cooking. We just think that maybe we have to venture out and find a new haunt - and that it should probably be west of the 405.
We've been to Beechwood and to Nook after reading previous posts, and while we found them very good, they didn't quite fit exactly what we're looking for.
Any hound suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
