Hello! My Cuban husband and I are coming from San Francisco to the DC area at Christmas to visit my family. My husband is craving good authentic Cuban food, which, amazingly, can't be found in the Bay Area. (We do have a lot of excellent Caribbean and Latin-American places out here, but they offer few traditional Cuban dishes. We also have a bunch of "Cuban-inspired" places, almost all of which we've tried, but the food is invariably modified so much that it doesn't resemble real Cuban food.)
Anyway, hubby has asked if, during our visit, we can try out one of the Cuban places around DC. We've both found threads here and elsewhere that mention some places that sound pretty good (especially Cubano's and Cuban Corner.) Because of all the family obligations, we only have time to visit one restaurant. Any advice on which place we should try?
Thanks a bunch!
