ISO the Best of the Best

David Kahn | Aug 31, 200507:02 PM     21

A friend of a friend is coming to town on a business trip and is looking for a couple of very high-end restaurants where he could take a party of 14 for food and wine. Price is no object, and proximity to downtown is a plus. Off the top of my head, I came up with the Water Grill, Patina, Providence, Spago, and Valentino. Being the lowbrow pastrami sandwich/burrito/cheese burger kind of guy I am, I'm sure I missed some obvious suggestions. Can anyone fill in the gaps?
