Island Creek Oyster Bar-Mostly hits and one big miss (i.e. avoid the "Lobster Roll")

My family took me to ICOB last night to celebrate my "big b-day". There were 6 of us and service and atmosphere were top notch. Many dishes were sampled around the table, including: Apps: smoked trout appetizer, steamed little neck clams; Salads: arugula/beet, baby romaine; Entrees: Wreckfish, Seafood Casserole, Brown butter lobster, Fish and Chips and Lobster Roll. The only loser of the lot was the lobster roll. Unfortunately, that was mine. Tiny pieces of lobster meat, mixed with so much celery and red onion (yikes...raw onion with lobster) that the lobster was imperceivable. Served in a dense, unwieldy brioche type roll that I left behind. I was heartbroken. This is the worst lobster roll I have ever had......I would have even preferred a D'Angelo's Lobster sandwich over this, which may be frozen meat but is lobster you can taste. I found a post from a year ago on ICOB lobster roll that has a pic:

Mine looked NOTHING like this. What happened? I wish I had taken a pic to share.....sorry!

When I reported my experience to the waitress, she seemed uncomfortable but offered nothing. I wish I had ordered the brown butter roasted lobster, which my daughter had and which was heavenly.

Oh well, I'll know better next time. yes, I'd definitely return....just a bit wiser!
