Restaurants & Bars 6

Iraqi and Afghan Kabobs

Kliman reviews Zuhair's Cafe in Herndon, which claims to be the area's only Iraqi restaurant.

Pam: If you're able to get out there, please let us know if it holds a candle to the real thing. (Oh, and welcome back!)

Meanwhile, in the Sunday post, Sietsema reviews Kabab Combo, the new full-service restaurant run by the owners of Kabob Palace.

One of these days, we really ought to have a Chowhound kabob fest, in which we taste and compare the various Persian/Pakistani/Afghan/Iraqi offerings at, e.g., Ravi Kabob, Kabob Baazar, Moby Dick (several locations), Kabob Palace/Combo, Zuhair's, Shamshiry, Amoo's, Paradise, Food Factory, etc.

(I suppose we'll have to set aside quite a good stretch of time, and fill up our (gas) tanks, to pull it off, eh?)
