Spent a day out at Long Beach and saw a sign for fried clams and was given a plate of fried/frozen 1/2 strip things .... had the same thing out on the island.
Growing up in Mass. we would get big plates/containers full of fried clams, the ones with the bellies. Not littlenecks & cherrystones, but frying clams. Who does this in the city? I once found them out on Long Island but was only given 5 ... like a shrimp cocktail or fried scallops or something.
I want a big messy plate of them ... please help.
