Ipoh white coffee @ Candy Cafe, Chinatown, London

limster | Jul 19, 200909:50 AM

Impressive buttery/butterscotchy aroma that aligns beautifully with the nutty coffee flavour, a well rounded and extremely smooth bittersweetness. Front heavy in the intense flavour, with a thinnish finish, but the complex lasting aftertaste lingers for a long while. Stylistically different from Italian coffees, and might irk Italian purists not used to coffee preps elsewhere, but this Malaysian import should give some of the more mainstream coffee places (e.g. Flat White) a run for their money.

Noticed that Ipoh-style white coffee is also available at Sedap. Anyone tried it there?
