Recipes on the internet have a less than 50% success rate for me, regardless of site reputation, unless they have been reviewed and endorsed by large amounts of people (at least 30, perhaps, but preferably a lot more). In contrast, my success rate for recipes found in cookbooks has been closer to 70-75%.
How do you determine if a recipe online is worth trying? How many good reviews do you need? Do you prefer cookbook recipes to internet recipes?
Personally, I am leery of internet recipes, but still I find them irresistible.
