i picked up a nice 12oz. package of instant horchata mix last night (for ny'er's--at a bodega on westchester ave. right at 3rd ave. in the bronx).
mixed with water, a little milk and sugar it's good stuff.
my question is, is the horchata mix pretty standard or are there variations in ingrediants in different countries? what are they?
my mix was made in el salvador (by dona lisa, distributed by allfoods, inc.) and the ingrediants include: powdered morro seeds, pumpkin seeds, seasame seeds, cacao seeds, peanut, cinammon and vanilla.
fyi---there is i website on the package but i can not get it to go: www.donalisa.com
anybody else into horchata? thanks.
