I thought about taking in the ADNY white truffle menu last year, but did not. It is now available again.
What have diners' experiences been with the ADNY white truffle menus from past years? Most significantly, how generous is the shaving? Are shavings on all dishes or is the white truffle sometimes incorporated within the dish itself? What reasonably priced (relatively, of course) wines are available on the ADNY wine list for ordering with white truffles?
This year, the menu is ($300):
Ravioli of duck foie gras, "Tartufi di alba"
Diver sea scallops, pan seared, cepes mushrooms and parmesan, shaved white truffle
Maine lobster in "parmentier" clear oscetra caviar sauce
Farm raised chicken, seasonal vegetables "pot au feu", Albufera sauce, Tartufi di Alba
