I noticed that ADNY's anniversary menu appears to contain one more dish than the usual $165 a la carte menu (choice of three courses from menu, not counting dessert). Have members sampled the anniversary menu (which is also priced at $165)?
Its contents, very roughly translated (some condiments excluded in the interests of time), are:
-- Tomatoes in a range of tastes: salty, sugary, with acidity, bitter
-- Sections of lobster
-- Roasted pigeonneau in a cocotte
-- Cheese & dessert
When D Elena was asked about this menu, he indicated that the restaurant chose a dish from each year of its existence that it deemed to have been successful.
