Driving through Llano yesterday about noon, I wanted to stop at Cooper's, but the line was just too long and we didn't have the time, so we went a few hundred yards to the west to Inman's. Bad idea.
My wife ordered a chopped beef sandwich. It appeared to have been pre-made with sauce on it and it was totally soggy. Terrible.
I had a mixed plate of brisket and jalapeno turkey sausage. The brisket was dry and maybe almost up to sandwich grade. Sausage was just fair -- too dry -- with OK flavor.
Having experienced that, we skipped their homemade pies for dessert and went back down to Cooper's, where I could go to the front of the line and get a couple of orders of their wonderful peach cobbler to go.
I have wondered why I never read about Inman's on this board. Now I know.
