Infused cream

When cream is infused with some sort of flavor, say, using lemon zest or cinnamon sticks, does the resulting flavored cream (after straining out the “infuser”) go bad more quickly? If the cream before infusing would last in the fridge, say, two weeks, after infusing does it now have matter in it that would speed up the time until it’s funky?
