If I have an IR gun pre-set to 1.00 emissivity, but the material I point it to has been rated to 0.60 emissivity, can I deduct that a 300 reading would translate to a 500 temperature?
That if I need a 300 temp I would need to read 180?
Is there a formula? How linear would it be between 200 and 400F?
P.S. plz ignore the tag, there is none suitable for IR thermometer, only meat and candy, not even kitchen utensil or gadget.
