At a recent festival at a local Thai temple, there was a couple making the most delicious item. Unfortunately, after asking the name I promptly forgot it. Ive been trying to find what this food is called and a recipe since, but have had no luck. Im hoping one of you will know what Im describing.
They were little pancake-like items, cooked in dimpled griddles until nearly cooked, then one was flipped on top of another to form a round cake about 1-1/4 across. The batter had coconut milk in it, and there was a bit of green onion, too the taste was slightly sweet and slightly salty at the same time. The interior consistency was slightly custardy/gelatinous. We were told that these are often served as a treat at breakfast in Thailand.
Anyone know of these?
