Inexpensive - Cheap - West Village Restaurants?

I went to Ony last night on the advise of these postings. I just arrived from LA where you can get a much better, a much bigger bowl of Ramen for 8 bucks. If you are there, go to Asahi Ramen on Sawtelle, or another place at Gateway and Barrington. Here - and this is your cheap category? with tax and tip - a bowl of ramen runs you $18 bucks. That's cheap? The service, by the way, was lazy at best.

Come on folks. Cheap means going to a Chinese or Thai place and ordering a chicken and rice dish with a beer and getting out of there for $10 not $20.
