inexpensive 240V induction cooktop?

Bryan Larsen | Feb 11, 2010 08:10 AM

I've got a nice but inexpensive gas range, so I also have an unused 240V range plug right beside it. I was thinking that a nice inexpensive 240V single induction cooktop would utilize that plug nicely. There are lots of inexpensive 120V cooktops available, but those max out at 1500-1800W. I figure there must be inexpensive 240V cooktops designed for the European market. However, the cheapest I have found is a $1200 Cooktek. Does anybody have any other pointers?
