Induction dual burner

About 4 years ago, when I moved to Paris we bought a dual burner induction cooktop. All I had ever used was gas and I quickly adapted and loved using induction. Where necessary I used an induction disk. One of the two, the more powerful one, just went click and stopped working a few days ago. But I have to say, for the 150€ I spent, this non-big brand name (Clatronic) German induction cooktop was used every single day and every other day for major cooking duties and to get four years out of it, I think, is fantastic. So, I need recommendations on a new one keeping in mind these problems I had over the last four years...
- When I'd use my griddle pan or my small black steel pan, the more powerful of the two burners would overheat and shut down. I'd rather not have the problem again.
- The immediate outside edge of both burners is a plastic frame. Sure it's probably something more solid than regular plastic, but it is plastic nevertheless and eventually got a bit melted here and stressed and cracked there and that's something else I'd like to avoid if possible.
- The 1900W seems fine but the 1400 did take too long for some tasks.

This would have to go into a regular plug as I don't have access to any special circuits for this. The only one available is where the regular electric ranges are connected and since I rent, I'd rather not mess with those, pulling them out or anything. Unfortunately, those are built into the countertop so I can't even remove them. What I did was build a little wooden tray that sits just above the electrics to not lose counter space.

I don't know whether two individual burners is better than one double burner set, which brands I should look at, I don't know if there's certain specs I should be looking for, so any input would be very much appreciated.

Thank you!!
