Induction compatible pan doesn't work on induction cooktop

Jfekhkej | Mar 31, 201905:41 PM     24

I have a Tramontina induction cooktop that doesn't work with a demeyere proline 12.6 inch skillet. At first I thought it was the size of the skillet as it was much larger than the circle on the cooktop, and because it would work on other pans. However, I tried with another 12 inch skillet and to my surprise it worked. The cooktop also works when I lift one side of the skillet and stand a corner of the proline on the induction surface, leading me to think that the center of the pan isn't making full contact with the cooktop. Would a larger induction cooktop fix this?
