Indonesian Consulate: are they really closed?

Ingrid Gordon | Oct 3, 2002 02:04 PM

I wanted to make my first pilgramage to the Indonesian Consulate cafeteria this week, and decided to call them first to see if they're still open to the public. They said no, the cafeteria has moved. When I asked where to the lady didn't know.
Are they really closed/moved, or are they just operating in extreme stealth mode? I thought perhaps post 9/11 they might not let the public in at all for security reasons.
Anyone know anything about this? Anyone been there recently and successfully eaten?

I used to study Indonesian in graduate school. Perhaps I should bone up on my language skills and try and sweet-talk them in bahasa...

Help! I want some good Indonesian food, and I know the knock-off version when I see it. Anyone been to that place in Woodside?
