Indonesia Restaurant

I had an excellent dinner recently at the Indonesia Restaurant (678 Post St. at Jones, San Francisco(415)474-4026). Although they seem to be Balinese, the menu had items from Java and elsewhere in Indonesia as well.

The staff was friendly, there were lots of Indonesians eating there, and the food was excellent. I vastly preferred it to the Java Indonesian Restaurant on Geary which was the location of a Chowhound dinner a couple of months ago.

I tried a Chicken with Stinkbean Curry, which was great, with a wonderful tangy sauce, and some sayur with garlic that was also very authentic.

I want to go back and have the Ayam Bumbu Bali (Balinese spiced fried chicken), which looked good at the next table.
