I read in Jonathan Gold's excellent book Counter Intelligence about India's Tandoor on Wilshire, in the same minimall as Mishima and Pho Bac Huynh, so I went over to check it out. His whole writeup was about their Indian pizza, which sounded like a cool idea. I was disappointed, though, to find that it's just a regular Indian restaurant (of no particular regional affiliation, as far as I could tell), with no pizza in view. I got takeout, though, and the food (saag lela, aloo somethingorother and tandoori chicken - I wasn't the only one eating) was all good, but nothing exceptional. Does anyone know the story?
