I went to Vik's on 4th Street at Berkeley and saw several Indian family buying sweets. Then I realized that the stores on Universtiy were celebrating Diwali (?)--Indian New Year. I tried some of those golden balls(forgot the name) in honey syrup. SWEET(!!) light and fluffy! Afterwards, I saw this new sweet shop and resaurant call RAJA Chaat house at 5th and Unversity just off I80 ramp. They only have sweets right now. The same thing there tasted differently. It was rich, toasty and dense. I really have no experience with Indian sweets. Can anyone enlighten me?
