Indian Oasis: non-spicy rec's?

As I read what everyone has to say below about Indian Oasis, my mouth waters, my stomach grumbles, and I want to try it sooner rather than later.

Unfortunately, I'm stuck in New Haven. Fortunately, my parents live a few short blocks from Indian Oasis. After seeing any number of restaurants come and (mostly deservedly) go in that space, it's great to hear everyone rave about Indian Oasis.

I'll be at my parents' house in about a week, and am certainly planning on heading there with my parents. The only problem being that my dad doesn't like spicy food, or Indian food generally. Getting him there may be a bit of a challenge, and even if not, I want to steer him towards something not-so-spicy but still absolutely delicious. Anyone have any suggestions?

As an unrelated side note, does anyone have info on what's going on at Bagel Oasis lately? They got rid of the freezer full of ice cream, and seem to be selling baked goods there. They also have started making blueberry bagels. This scares the heck out of me, as I will put a Bagel Oasis bagel up against any other bagel any day of the week, and them making blueberry bagels turns my world on its head. There are no good bagels in New Haven, and if I can't look forward to going home to Bagel Oasis, I don't know what I'll do.
