Indian in North Suburbs of Minneapolis

Before someone asks, I have no connection with this establishment. I just want to share a place that I like with other Chowhounds.

My daughter took me to Chutney Indian Grill, 3700 Central Ave. NE in Columbia Heights. It is "kid Friendly" and we had a 3 year old and a 9 month old with us. I liked it so well that I returned the following day for lunch.

Their Tandoori dishes are outstanding and everything is of good quality.

For those of us who like beer with spicy food, they have no license but will cheerfully serve BYOB with beer available from a Mobil Station across the street.

I'm not sure what they want to be. They have a delicatessen and a Halal Butcher Shop in the establishment. Thus, the ambiance may suffer somewhat but the food makes up for it.
