After about seven months, I'm back to Chowhound, finally able to afford to eat out again.
I have a question for those who know Nashua and Indian food. My wife and I were totally surprised to see an Indian restaurant replacing the old Indian Village place that we liked so much. "Mehmaan" apparently has been open for almost a year now, and we didn't even know it.
We thought Mehmaan was really quite good, with some spicy vegetable dishes, and the usual fare of chicken, lamb and such. We are divided on whether it's better than Indian Palace, which is the Indian restaurant in north Nashua on 101A. Both restaurants have excellent extremely friendly service, comfortable seating with clean tableclothed tables, and buffets where the food is not the same for every buffet. (Both restaurants seemed more personal with better food when we ordered at the table, though.)
It reminds me (now that we've not eaten out in a while) how uneducated I am when it comes to Asian food in general. What determines a "better" Indian place anyway? Well, anyway, just thought you'd all like to know that there's a nice new Indian place in Nashua.
