Indian Curries in Tokyo

Two great curry restaurants, both near Meguro station, Tokyo. FOR RICH, CREAMY CURRIES go to "The Tandoor" at Koyo Building 4F, 2-16-4 Kami Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo (tel: 3449 1972). The Butter Chicken or Butter Scallop are to die for, as is the Fish Tikka, and the Tandoori Platter.

FOR HOT, POWERFUL CURRIES go to "Rasoi" at Sunwood Meguro 2F, 1-3-28 Shimomeguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo (tel: 5487 5602). Chilly Mutton, or anything with "Chilly" (don't shoot me, it's how it's spelt on the menu) is brilliant. They'll even make it hotter for you if you want. Also, try the Aloo Gobi (cauliflower and potatoes - a dream) and the Vegetable Kulcha (Indian bread stuffed with cooked vegetables, then fried).

Both restaurants are good at other stuff, so you don't have to eat at one while your partner eats at the other.
