There is a small Indian (Bangladeshi) home-style restaurant on Iron Street just south of Main St: Sakuntala, where you can get meat and vegetable curries and sample cooked-to-order Indian appetizers. I enjoy the samosas, the onion fritters, the tuna cakes spiced with cardamom, the beguni (eggplant), and the marvelous puffed bread, luchee (puri). They chose organic veggies when available. They serve great mango, guava, and rose-lemon yoghurt drinks and a locally-bottled ginger beer with a bite. For desert I like their sandesh. It's complex and quite rich.
